(June 26, 2025) \u2013 We are excited to announce that Chris Rubens, PE, DBIA, has been promoted to Transportation Lead for Neel-Schaffer\u2019s South Carolina Operations.<\/p>\n<p>Chris joined Neel-Schaffer in 2019 and has nearly 15 years of experience as a Transportation Design Engineer. He has worked on a wide variety of roadway and other transportation projects for Neel-Schaffer and is currently the lead roadway design engineer for an emergency design-build bridge replacement package for the South Carolina Department of Transportation that includes four bridges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChris is an excellent transportation engineer with deep knowledge and a strong track record,\u201d said Philip Sandel, PE, DBIA, Neel-Schaffer\u2019s South Carolina Operations Manager. \u201cIn this new role, he\u2019ll continue to design and manage projects, while also providing oversight for all transportation design projects out of the South Carolina office. He\u2019s also a natural mentor and teacher, qualities that will be invaluable as he guides and supports his team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a lot of exciting and challenging projects to deliver, and I appreciate Neel-Schaffer giving me the opportunity to serve in this new role,\u201d said Chris. \u201cI look forward to working with our talented staff and hope to expand our transportation group as we continue to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chris is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina and holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COLUMBIA, S.C.
