(January 7, 2022) \u2013 Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce that Graduate Engineer Chamar McDonald was recently selected by the Madison County Business League &amp; Foundation to participate in the 2022 Madison County Executive Leadership Class.<\/p>\n<p>McDonald is a long-time resident of Madison County and a graduate of Madison Central High School. He joined Neel-Schaffer in 2011 after graduating from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Based in the firm\u2019s Madison office, McDonald is a member of Neel-Schaffer\u2019s Central Mississippi Transportation team. He has worked on a wide variety of transportation projects, from roadway design and reconstruction to the design of multi-use trails now in use around the Jackson Metro area. He is also a certified bridge inspector and a member of Neel-Schaffer\u2019s team that inspects bridges around the state of Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled that Chamar has been selected for this leadership class,\u201d said Keith O\u2019Keefe, PE, Senior Vice President for Neel-Schaffer\u2019s Central Mississippi Operations. \u201cNeel-Schaffer encourages its employees to make contributions to the communities in which we live and work and being a member of the Madison County Business League &amp; Foundation is a great example of Chamar giving back to his community. Being chosen for the leadership class gives Chamar a chance to make even a bigger difference for Madison County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Madison County Business League &amp; Foundation, the mission of the leadership class is to \u201cprovide MCBL&amp;F members with a deeper understanding of the opportunities in Madison County in an environment that enhances their leadership skills and prepares graduates to take their knowledge and experience into their workplace and into the community for the betterment of Madison County as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope to positively impact my community while fostering partnerships between business leaders and public officials,\u201d said McDonald. \u201cAs a representative of Neel-Schaffer, I hope to help and inspire others through leadership experiences I will gain through the program.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JACKSON, Miss.
