(November 29, 2021) \u2013 Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Jennifer Peace, PE, DBIA, Justin Wood, PE, SE, DBIA, and Randy Roberts, PE, DBIA, have completed the Design-Build Institute of America\u2019s comprehensive education and certification testing program and earned DBIA certification from the DBIA\u2019s Design-Build Certification Board.<\/p>\n

Peace is a Senior Project Manager in Birmingham, Alabama, who joined Neel-Schaffer in 2008 and has more than 28 years of experience in transportation engineering. Based in the firm\u2019s Atlanta office, Wood joined Neel-Schaffer in 2009 and has over 15 years of experience in bridge design, bridge inspection, and bridge construction monitoring. He serves as Neel-Schaffer\u2019s Structures Lead for Georgia and South Carolina. Roberts works in Neel-Schaffer\u2019s Columbia, South Carolina office. He joined the firm in 2017 and has nearly 20 years of experience providing design and project management services for state DOTs, municipal, residential, commercial, and institutional clients throughout the Southeast.<\/p>\n
DBIA Certification is the design-build industry\u2019s highest designation. It signifies that Peace, Wood, and Roberts have completed the DBIA\u2019s comprehensive education and certification testing program and that they have at least two years of substantial, documented direct project experience in design-build project delivery. DBIA Certification is the nation\u2019s only measurable standard of an individual\u2019s knowledge of the Design-Build Done Right principles vital to successful project delivery.<\/p>\n
Neel-Schaffer now has six DBIA-certified engineers, joining Matt Lifsey, Graham Legate, and Philip Sandel. Richard Sullivan, who manages the firm\u2019s Tennessee Operation, has Associate DBIA certification.<\/p>\n
