(August 29, 2018) <\/b>\u2013 Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Ed Everitt has joined the firm and will serve as General Counsel.<\/p>\n<p>Everitt has practiced law for 12 years, the last seven as in-house Counsel for one of the nation\u2019s largest construction and engineering firms. Before going in-house, Everitt practiced construction litigation for one of the preeminent law firms in the Southeast. Everitt has a civil engineering background and worked for a consulting engineering firm prior to attending law school.<\/p>\n<p>He has extensive experience in the areas of construction law, risk management, contract review and negotiation, risk avoidance, business entity formation and management, construction and engineering license management, and mergers and acquisitions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to have Ed joining the Neel-Schaffer family,\u201d said Joey Hudnall, PE, Neel-Schaffer\u2019s Chief Operations Officer. \u201cThis is a unique opportunity for us to hire an attorney who once worked in the engineering consulting field and for the last 12 years has represented contractors and engineers.
