Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Cindy Rich, PE, was named to the 2014 class of the Mississippi Business Journal\u2019s 50 Leading Business Women in Mississippi.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am delighted to be included by the Mississippi Business Journal in this group of very successful and talented woman,\u201d said Rich, who was honored with the other selectees at a banquet held Feb. 18 in Jackson. \u201cAfter this many years in my chosen profession I am grateful for the recognition and can truly say that I still find challenges and fulfillment in what I do and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rich joined Neel-Schaffer in 1992. For many years, she designed bridges and hydraulic structures, but for the past 11 years she has served as the manager of the Structures Department of Neel-Schaffer\u2019s headquarters office in Jackson (MS). In this role, she supervises a staff of 10 engineers who design bridges and other structures across the South.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t design so much now,\u201d said Rich. \u201cBut I know everything we\u2019re doing and I still get to add in my two cents on some of the projects.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rich holds a Civil Engineer degree from the University of Mississippi. She has served on the university\u2019s engineering advisory board for more than a decade, and considers being able to give back to the university in this way one of her biggest accomplishments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
