(Aug. 3, 2016) \u2013 Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Matt Lifsey, PE, has joined the firm as the Engineer Manager for the firm\u2019s office in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.neel-schaffer.com\/office\/south-carolina\/columbia\/\">Columbia<\/a>, South Carolina.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Lifsey, who has 26 years of experience, will serve in a management and business development role for Neel-Schaffer, marketing the firm throughout the Carolinas. He served as the President of OLH, Inc., from 2014-2016, and prior to that he worked for the South Carolina Department of Transportation for 24 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">From 2007-2014, Lifsey served as Lowcountry Regional Production Engineer for the SCDOT. Additionally, from 2011-2014 he was responsible for all contract documents, processes\/practices, and procurement efforts for all design-build projects statewide, including emergency design-build procurements for FHWA Emergency Relief funded projects. His efforts were instrumental in the implementation and creation of SCDOT\u2019s design-build division in 2014.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">\u201cMatt was very involved in the evolution of the South Carolina DOT\u2019s current design-build division and design-build program,\u201d said Chris Sellers, Neel-Schaffer\u2019s Vice President for South Carolina operations. \u201cNot only will he help us grow our operations in South Carolina with the relationships he has in the DOT and with municipalities across the state, but he\u2019s also going to help us with our design-build pursuits in other states.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">\u201cMatt\u2019s hiring helps us continue to pursue our goal of strategic growth throughout the Southeast,\u201d said Craig Hanchey, Senior Vice President for Neel-Schaffer\u2019s East Region operations. \u201cMatt is well respected, and knowledgeable, and will be a real asset to Neel-Schaffer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">Lifsey holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Clemson University.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"Default\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neel-schaffer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Matt-Lifsey.pdf\">Printer Friendly Version<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COLUMBIA, S.C.
